Cooling System Repair

Let's talk about something that could save your engine - cooling system warning signs.

You know that feeling when something's just not right with your truck? When it comes to cooling systems, your truck will usually try to tell you there's a problem before it becomes a major issue.

Here's what you should keep an eye (and nose) out for:

1. Is your temperature gauge creeping higher than usual?

That's your first heads-up that something might be wrong.

2. Notice a sweet smell coming from your engine?

That's not a good kind of sweet - it usually means coolant is leaking or burning somewhere it shouldn't be.

3. Speaking of leaks, those bright green or orange spots under your truck? Yeah, those aren't decorative. They're telling you it's time to get your cooling system checked.

4. When you see white smoke puffing from your exhaust, especially if it's more than usual on a cold morning, your engine might be trying to tell you something's up with the cooling system.

5. Getting low coolant warnings? Don't just top it off and forget about it. That coolant's going somewhere, and we need to figure out where.

6. And here's one drivers often miss - if your heater's not working like it should, that could actually be a cooling system issue, not just a comfort problem.
